What's new in the lists:

22 July 1998:

• Added another case in which bug #417 occurs
• Added gotcha (not bug) #437: Forms don't animate with sound when minimized
• Added bug #436 concerning anchored controls not being resized properly in all cases
• Added migration gotcha
• Added some more information to the TListBox.ItemIndex bug
• Added IDE bug: Projectgroup is not loaded when there's only one project in it.

21 July 1998:

13-20 July 1998:

• Once again, an announcement was made by Inprise (Borland) that they will start up an official Bug List on their site.
• Added problem when exiting Delphi
• Added problem with registering components
• Added the quite important Delphi 4 bug in TCustomListBox' (and all its descendants') ItemIndex property
• Added information concerning bug #417
• Added confirmed bug in the Delphi 4 IDE
• Updated bug report regarding BDE error 9987: the reported fix/workaround has been confirnmed to work
• Added minor documentation bug
• Added minor ide bug

12 July 1998:

• Added item concerning problems in the Delphi 4 IDE. Please help finding out how real these bugs are.
• Added IDE bug: problems when saving project as "default.dpr"
• Added IDE bug concerning 'hide designers on run' and docking
• Added IDE bug with docking and 'hide designers on run'
• Fixed in Delphi 4 (checked by Rune Moberg): bug #119, bug #121, bug #125, bug #127, bug #134, bug #135, bug #144, bug #146, bug #147, bug #150, bug #388, bug #393.
• Not fixed in Delphi 4 (checked by Rune Moberg): bug #129, bug #137, bug #148, bug #416.
• Added Hector Santos' bit arithmetic compiler bug, which has been fixed in Delphi 4.
  (Two hours later:) Oops; deleted it again; this is the same as bug #146.

• Corrected bug report concerning TStringList.SaveToFile causing memory loss: This bug was not fixed in Delphi 2.01

• Added entry concerning wrong declaration of GetFreeDiskSpaceEx
• Added entry concerning memory loss in TStringList.SaveToStream

12 May 1998:

• I have now split up the VCL page. Accessible through the VCL index page
• Changed the layout of the 'short descriptions'. I hope it's more user friendly this way. Among other things I added the record numbers of all the entries in the database. Current count: 412.
• Updated the ByteSwapColors bug
• Added two bugs concerning drag and drop: #411 and #412
• Added BDE error resulting in an Access Violation in IDSQL32.DLL

7 May 1998:

• Still working on organizing the VCL page before splitting it up. Bear with me...
• Added more detailed description of the encountered problems related to the bug in TCustomWinSocket
• Added alternative workaround for problem with TForm.Name
• Added 'gotcha' concerning scrolling TListView items into view

5 May 1998:

• Deleted duplication of problem concerning TListBox.Selected in combination with MultiSelect
• Added bug in Graphics.ByteSwapColors which affects TBitmap (among other things)
• Added bug in TStringGrid concerning TabStops and GPFs
• Added another bug in TStringGrid; concerning loss of settings when adding rows or columns
• Added memory loss problem when loading DLLs dynamically
• Added 'gotcha' in TTreeView/TListView: the OnDeletion event occurs "too late": it may occur AFTER a form's OnDestroy
• Deleted the old stuff that has become obsolete by the database-generated version of the Bug List.
• Layout improvements in the parts where the 'status' of the bugs is indicated
• Added a new 'bug image':

27 April 1998:

• Repaired damaged bug report on the BDE page
• Added 'gotcha': the compiler does not support a 'full' 32-bits unsigned integer
• Added a number of bugs concerning ItemIndex and MultiSelect, on both the documentation page and the VCL page
• Added wish list items: support for true 32-bits unsigned integers; support for 64-bits integers

13 April 1998:

• Added new compiler bug: The optimiser trashes local variables in an exception handler
• Added bug in the (Paradox) BDE: Secondary index becomes corrupt at Key Violation exception
• Added bug in (documentation of) MessageBeep
• Added migration 'gotcha': SysUtils.FileExists has been changed between D1 and D2
• Added problem in functions DiskSize and DiskFree: Longint type is not sufficient to accommodate large values
• Added bug in TMemo: it raises an inappropriate Exception when a string containing Chr(0)'s is added

10 April 1998:

• Added section about Borland and the Bug List on the Bug List Home Page
• Received confirmation of the nasty 'suppressed exception' bug while reading database records. It turns out that the bug is still present in Delphi 3.02.
• Added new optimization bug in the compiler
• Added bug in TCustomWinSocket
• Added two items to the Wish List page

6 April 1998:

• Made a lot of cosmetic improvements to the database from which the New Bug List is generated
• Added Brad Stowers' comments to 'greyed out close buttons' MDI bug
• Added IDE problem concerning the Fields editor being positioned at an invisible / unaccessible location
• Added TComboBox problem concerning the Text being replaced with Item values unexpectedly

1 April 1998:

• Moved IDE Wish List items to a separate Wish List page.
• Added bug report on MDI windows having the close button greyed
• Added bug in SysUtils' Format function
• Added item about missing KWF files
• Added Paulo Caetano's solution to the problem of DB controls not 'passing' their changes into the database they're connected to.

31 March 1998:

• Documentation and Help stuff now also added to the database.
• Improved the layout of The New Delphi Bug List quite a bit.

29 March 1998:

• No news from Borland about their Delphi Bug List yet!
  (see whatsnew 25 January)
• Almost all bugs (and gotchas) of the whole Delphi Bug List have now been stored in a database. And a prgoram to generate the pages from this database is more or less ready. The first results of this can be found via the index page of the New Delphi Bug List

25 January 1998:

• There has been an important announcement by Borland last Thursday: they are going to establish an offical Delphi Bug List!
  Matterson.txt: (The message as posted on borland.public.delphi.non-technical)
• Added compiler bug giving an Internal Error R398
• Added description (and solution) of problems making ISAPI dll work with Netscape Fasttrack Server 3.0

11 January 1998:

• Deleted (from the 'contents page') the table pointing to the pages containing the bugs per Delphi category. All this information is accessible through the 'merged' pages.
• Added problem adding Interfaces to CoClasses
• Added bug in TDateTimePicker
• Updated information on problems with CachedUpdates and Filters (OnFilterRecord)
